Motion approved.

Additions to the Agenda: none

New Business:
a. Jennifer Shapiro and Amy Ash, Lifestyle Essentials
· The Wall of Champions has had an average of 75 people per month this quarter. These are members who have had 12 visits or more each month to the fitness center.
· The “first class free” initiative has continued to increase group exercise class participation.
· 65 members signed up for the Evendale 100 Challenge.
· Lifestyles worked with the Evendale Employee Wellness Committee for a Lunch n’ Learn program about healthy food substitutions.
· The youth running program for 7-12 year olds (about 20 kids) was a success, with several of the kids being able to run a mile at the end of the six week program.
· The well attended Kids’ Latin Fusion class was fun for all during the five week program. The kids and the summer camp leaders who took the class loved the dance moves.
· Upcoming:  In addition to the Fall Member Challenge, a Health Expo will be held October 26th with vendors, class samples, activities, and informational booths.
· Eileen Berke used to come and work one-on-one with Layne from Lifestyles. Since Layne has left she rarely comes in since females now work mostly at the center. (It is a strength concern if Eileen would fall.)  AJ, and sometimes Kevin, work at the fitness center. Eileen, or any member, could find out their schedule and come in to work with one of the males.

b. Recommendations for the Fee Subcommittee
· The fee subcommittee recommended fees remain the same for 2014. A motion was made to accept this recommendation by Wayne Mosley; seconded by Pamela Meyers. Motion approved.

c. Recommendations for the Budget Subcommittee
· The budget subcommittee recommended a 2014budget relatively the same as the 2013 fiscal year. The 2014 recommended budget, at this time, has a 3% increase above the 2013 budget (a few capital items are included). A motion was made to accept this recommendation by Wayne Mosley; seconded by Pamela Meyers. Motion approved.

Old Business:
a. Lifestyle Essentials – as noted in the packet
b. Bike Master Plan
· CACC has its quarterly meeting July 31st.
· URS will have the completed master plan early next month.
· The bike trail system will, not only, be an amenity for current residents, but will, hopefully, help attract young families to the village.

Director’s Report:
· The blood drive recently held in our south gym was a success with over 65 people donating. A suggestion was made to hold the blood drive annually.
· Fun in the Sun camp and swim team both wrap up this week. Our swim team won a very close meet to become the 2013 Northern Suburban Swim League Champions. A gathering at the pool for swim team members, fun in the sun campers, and the junior tennis team players will be held this Friday from noon to 3:00pm.

Phi Lambda Pi Report:
· There have been roughly 15-20 people a week at Phi this month.
· This month, Phi has been to the Root Beer Stand, playing kickball under the lights, and most importantly people worked very hard on their 4th of July booths.
· Once again the 4th of July festivities proved to be a great fundraiser for Phi. There were 302 participants this year for the race, and between the race and evening carnival/ evening event Phi generated $ 7,853.60.
· Phi is going on our summer trip to Gatlinburg the weekend of Friday July 26.

Open Discussion:
· Pamela Meyers expressed appreciation to Kristen Maiden and the tennis instructors for offering a three or four day option for the ladies tennis lesson program.

Motion to adjourn made at 8:26am by Stiney Vonderhaar; seconded by Wayne Mosley. Motion approved.
